How to screenshot on Chromebook

Taking a screenshot on a Chromebook is simple! Here are the methods you can use:

### Method 1: Capture the Entire Screen

1. **Press** `Ctrl` + `Show Windows` (the Show Windows key looks like a rectangle with two lines on the right and is usually located in the top row of the keyboard).

   - This captures the entire screen.

### Method 2: Capture a Specific Area

1. **Press** `Ctrl` + `Shift` + `Show Windows`.

2. Your cursor will change to a crosshair. Click and drag to select the area you want to capture.

3. Release the mouse button to take the screenshot.

### Method 3: Capture a Single Window

1. **Press** `Alt` + `Show Windows`.

   - This captures the currently active window.

### Accessing Your Screenshots

- After taking a screenshot, a notification will appear in the bottom-right corner of the screen. You can click on it to view the screenshot.

- Screenshots are automatically saved in the **Downloads** folder. You can access them by clicking on the **Files** app (the folder icon in the shelf) and then selecting **Downloads**.

### Additional Tips

- You can also use the **Stylus** (if your Chromebook has one) to take screenshots directly if it's enabled in your device settings.

- If you want to take screenshots without the keyboard, you can use the **Google Assistant**: Just say "Take a screenshot," and it will capture your screen.
