### 3. Understand the Deletion Process

- **Grace Period**: After you initiate deletion, Facebook provides a **30-day grace period** during which you can cancel the deletion if you change your mind. After this period, your account and all your data will be permanently deleted.

- **Data Removal**: It may take up to 90 days for all of your data to be removed from Facebook's servers after the deletion process is complete.

### 4. Consider Deactivating Instead

If you’re unsure about permanently deleting your account, you can choose to deactivate it:

- Follow the same steps as above until you reach the **Deactivation and Deletion** section, then select **Deactivate Account**. This will temporarily disable your account but keep your data intact.
